All Beginings Are Tough

I guess we'll see how this goes. I have decided to try again to lose weight and cycling again for the umpteenth time. I have a specialized bike which I bought in April after my cannondale was stolen but have ridden it less than 10 miles since I bought it. We'll have to see how the fit is, right now it feels like the handlebars are an inch or two to far, but I'll give it more time and some time for my stomach to decrease in size and we'll see if I need to adjust it. I am thinking now that I would like to be able to ride in the Chai Lifeline bike ride next summer from Asbury Park, NJ to Camp Simcha in the Catskills. It is about 150 miles over 2 days with a significant fundraising goal.
On the eating side I was good today (but it is the first day) but I have some entamans cakes sitting in the house, we'll see how long on can resist the urge. (If anybody is reading this, please don't tell me to eat a fruit, I do not like fruit in general and never feel satisfied after eating one anyways.)
On the cycling side, I dusted off the bike, found my gear, pumped up the tires and rode for about 1.5 miles. I am going to try and track my rides on endomondo. If I ever figure out how to post the link, I'll include it.
Well, that's it for now, we'll see if I come back for a second day.
